What is power-flushing?
It is a process whereby a central heating system is cleansed by means of high velocity but low pressure water. The process can be made even more effective by the addition of powerful cleaning agents.
Many heating systems suffer poor circulation and boiler noise caused by years of sludge, deposit and scale, traditional flushing methods simply don't get rid of all the debris and these problems more often than not quickly return.
Modern high efficiency, compact boilers, have been developed to reduce fuel costs and pollution, which can make them more susceptible to problems caused by debris in the system water.
Debris is often dislodged when making alterations to a system and the increased efficiency of the new boiler, and may then accumulate in the boiler heat exchanger, causing noisy operation, reduced efficiency and, in extreme circumstances, failure of the boiler.

Powerflushing needs to be performed with care, older systems in particular can be susceptible to damage if the procedure is not carried out sensibly. We are always happy to advise you on the suitability of powerflushing.
Our rates for powerflushing are very competitive; starting at £300 for a typical six radiator system, additional radiators being charged
at an extra £20 each.
